    Westpac employees need our help

Westpac is Australia's most profitable bank. Last year it made a record $6.9 billion profit.

Save-Westpac-Jobs.gifThe bank has announced it proposes to cut 560 jobs, with 150 of these jobs to be sent offshore and filled by overseas workers. Westpac CEO Gail Kelly has confirmed that more job cuts are likely in 2012.

Westpac can afford to keep every single job.

These aren’t just numbers on a spreadsheet, these are people. People with career aspirations and families to support; people who have given their all to help make Westpac profitable, some of them for many years.

Join the campaign to save Westpac jobs. If anyone can afford to keep Australians in work, it’s our big banks.

How can Australians not bash the banks when slash jobs, off-shore jobs and make record profits. Time for banks to remember that it's their workers make them profits. And with all the problems ANZ has with their IT system you'd think the others have learned that off-shoring IT is not the way to go!!
